Our role, stated plainly
Aran is a facilitator and advisor — not a power trader. We connect solar generators with credible consumers and guide both sides through the green open access process. Aran does not buy, sell or trade electricity; the power supply contract is always directly between the generator and the consumer.
What green open access is
Green open access lets a large consumer take renewable power from a generator through the grid, instead of buying only from the local utility. It's enabled by open access regulations. Companies use it to cut power cost and meet their green goals; generators use it to connect their solar output with consumers who need it. Aran sits in the middle as the facilitator — finding the right match and guiding the paperwork.
Surplus or underused solar? We'll connect you.
If your solar plant has surplus or underused capacity, we connect you with credible HT consumers through green open access and guide the contracting. You supply; the consumer contracts to take your power. Aran facilitates the match — we don't buy your power.
- Introductions to creditworthy consumers
- Guidance through the open access process
- Better use of every unit your plant makes
Cut your power cost with green open access.
If you're a factory or commercial user with meaningful demand, we help you reduce power cost through group captive and third-party open access — connecting you with green generators and advising on the right route for your load.
- Lower cost per unit than many utility tariffs
- Greener power to meet your targets
- Advice on group captive vs third-party routes

Tamil Nadu — the group captive advantage
In Tamil Nadu, the group captive route can be especially valuable. When a consumer holds the qualifying ownership share in the generating plant and consumes its power, the arrangement can qualify for relief from the cross-subsidy surcharge that third-party open access usually attracts — which can meaningfully change the economics. The rules are detailed and change over time, so we walk you through what applies to your case. This is where Aran's on-the-ground knowledge helps most.
Pan-India facilitation
Open access rules differ from state to state, but the idea is the same across India: connect green generation with the consumers who need it, through the routes each state allows. Wherever your plant or your factory is, tell us the details and we'll advise on what's workable and connect the right parties.
Platform launching soon
We're building an online platform to make this matchmaking faster — so generators and consumers can find each other and move ahead with less friction. It's launching soon. Until then, our team handles introductions and guidance directly — just tell us which side you're on below.
Common questions
Does Aran buy or sell power?
No. Aran is a facilitator and advisor, not a power trader. We connect solar generators with credible consumers and guide both sides through the green open access process. The power supply contract is between the generator and the consumer — Aran does not buy, sell or trade electricity.
What is green open access?
Green open access lets a large consumer buy renewable power from a generator through the grid, instead of only from the local utility. It's enabled by open access regulations. Companies use it to cut power cost and meet green targets; generators use it to connect their solar output with consumers who need it.
What's the difference between group captive and third-party open access?
In group captive, the consumer holds a qualifying ownership share in the generating plant and consumes its power, which can bring regulatory benefits. In third-party open access, the consumer simply contracts to take power from an independent generator. Aran advises on which route fits your situation.
Can I supply my surplus solar power in Tamil Nadu?
Through green open access, a generator can contract to supply surplus solar to a consumer. Aran facilitates and advises — connecting you with credible consumers and guiding the open access process, including Tamil Nadu's group captive route. Aran is a facilitator, not a power trader.
Is the facilitation platform available now?
Our online facilitation platform is launching soon. In the meantime, tell us whether you're a generator or a consumer and our team will guide you directly.
Tell us which side you're on
